&lt;p&gt;I am actually talking about exactly this in my talk today: the JVM (Java) as the platform etc. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In general the post was not to be taken too seriously... &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;(Btw, It actually only adds to hour value prop., since hooking in at the bytecode level would make it possible to support other &quot;JVM deployed&quot; languages (JRuby, groovy etc. if it would make sense...) )&lt;/p&gt;
